Nedlinin Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Looking at(finally) replacing my stock heatsink in my quickly aging A64 rig.. Ive read around and cant quite decide which would seem to be the best buy - Im currently looking at the XP-90(Aluminum..not copper as the copper one I cant seem to find in stock anywhere I go..), the SI-120, and the Zalman CNPS9500 Ive heard good things about both, but I was wondering everyones ideas, reviews, stories(good or bad) about the above heatsinks, as well as other heatsinks I could be interested in -- Also, if you recommend the XP-90, any fan recommendations for it? Some factors to consider: Noise isnt really a big deal.. and Im just looking for the best choice for the money(The Zalman is about twice as expensive as the XP-90, but it comes with a fan and a fan controller...) Anyways, let me know what you all think!
swifty11212 Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Xp-90 and the SI-120 are good, but the Tuniq seems to be really good
Nedlinin Posted February 19, 2007 Posted February 19, 2007 Ah - something else I forgot to mention... Id prefer to keep it relatively lightweight as I move my computer between the two houses quite alot... Id prefer it not to rip off and break everything :-p I didnt list the Tuniq as Ive already heard it can be rather heavy... cant honestly say Ive looked at the weights of the others though

nan0click Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 The SI 120 is surprisingly lighter than what I thought it would be... My vote goes to that, easy to install too.
