capthowdy575 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 (edited) Im now the proud owner of a Wii and a xbox 360. i would of had a psp to but iT got stolen. in all iv owned three xbox 360. i got the wii last night a walmart last one to some guy was asking about them we i was checking out. the wii is pretty cool i like it alot i dont know if its HDTV ready through ( i own a HDTV) the way you play wii sports is pretty cool i enjoy playing it a lot. Verran Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 I just got my Wii yesterday too. There were only a few left when I got mine. I'm having a blast with it. I wanted to make a post called "Playing With My Wii", but I can't because this thread beat me to it I haven't even loaded Wii Sports yet. I've been too engulfed in Twilight Princess. So far, it's holding true to "Ocarina Of Time" quality gaming, which is a tough standard to meet. Also, the Wii is not HD capable. The most you can do is get the component video cable for an extra $20 or so. I picked it up, and I'd recommend it. It's definately not like a night-and-day sort of difference, but it does look better. The wii sports game is pretty cool. i wish there was more time in the day after work to play video games right now i have like 5 games i need to beat thats including xbox 360 games but not including PC games. I've played the 360 and PS3, but the Wii is definitely my favorite. IMO, it is the best for party games (which is mainly what the big N is known for) and that is the only real use I have for a console in the first place...so...Wii FTW! I own LoZ: TP, Red Steel, Rayman: Raving Rabbids, and Wii Sports, all of which are great. The controls in Red Steel are awkward to start, but after a while it is great. I called around on a whim a few nights ago and a few WalMarts told me that they were getting some in for a release at 12 midnight on Saturday night. Well I was out of town helping my brother move, and didn't get up til 10 AM Sunday. For giggles, I called my local WalMart just up the street, and they said they DID have them. I panicked, got dressed in seconds, and drove up there. capthowdy575 Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 I remember people telling me since i didnt pre-order my 360 that i wouldnt get on for like a couple of months. so i just went to my local wal-mart and sat in line all night for one. didnt some people that pre order the 360 not get on. then the first one got stolen like a month after the release date so i was at wal-mart one day and a guy that worked there that was sitting in line with me that day said they got one in the back so i bought it that day. i think im pretty lucky to have got two 360 within a month of there release. two bad one got stolen. but go WAL-MART. capthowdy575 Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 (edited) inside job came home from work one day and gone heck i fell asleep on the couch with my psp and it went missing to and i dont think the couch monster stole it either but that dosnt matter anymore i got rid of the guy that was living here and i just started hanging out with a better crowed of people.
