Andrewr05 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 You using that X3220, Andrew? If so, how you like it?Indeed I am, I don't know why I typed Q6600... Its been pretty good so far, I have noticed a few programs run a bit better with quad cores. Sad thing is I haven't really done anything really processor extensive that isn't synthetic... python134r Posted October 27, 2009 Posted October 27, 2009 My best overclock!: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=591496 not a bad overclocking seeing as I have 133mhz RAM. Have not been around awhile.......nice to be back here: Although dated, rig runs well enough, all I am going to do is replace my Raid 0 array [2 x 36gb raptors] with 2 X 640gb WD Black caviar drives. For $75.00 each shipped its about the only cost effective upgrade for this 2 Y.O. rig. At the resolutions I play the EVGA 8800GTX still works well enough. Was considering a Q9550 but for the $$$$$ gains will be minimal as well as replacing 4 x 1GB ram modules with 4 x 2gb sticks too but it will prolly affect my Overclock too. Andrewr05 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Intel Xeon CPU X3220 @ 3906.41 MHz suicide We should start using that WPrime program, I've been reading a lot about it and it is quite nice.
