sdy284 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Well i just saw it last night and truthfully...wasn't to impressed. I think the movie as a whole, lacked the feeling of grandeur that the previous bond movies have had. There was some more non-subtle humor in the movie...which was funny IMO, but i prefer the casual, subtle one liners of previous bonds (mainly pierce & connery) The ones in the movie just what did you guys think of the movie? WhenKittensATK Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Not enough action, it was extremely boring.
oldfett Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 As soon as I saw the opening scene that all Bond movies have, the one with the music and stuff, I knew it wouldnt be a great movie. It was alright, but lacked some of the classic Bond style and he wrecked his car so fast that it was sad... yeah. Did he even have a fancy watch in this movie? sdy284 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Not enough action, it was extremely boring. I wouldn't go with full out "boring" but it was close & definitely could've used more action As soon as I saw the opening scene that all Bond movies have, the one with the music and stuff, I knew it wouldnt be a great movie. GuJuMaN89 Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 BOND: " A little to the right!" BOND: "THATS IT!" BOND: "now i can tell every1 u scratched my nuts!" ^^ funny also "I would still love you even if you were left with only your head and your little finger" BOND: "Becuase you know what i can do with my little finger...." Gremlin Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 I liked the movie. Went in there and not compared to the previous releases. Why? Because of the new replacement. It was fun to watch. and would like to watch it again. The stunts were good and waiting for the second one to come out which is in 2008. WhenKittensATK Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 come to think of it, I don't think there were enough cool gadgets in the movie. maybe one, the key chain bomb. Speaking of gadgets what happened to the actor who used to play as "Q?" did he retire? Every time Bond gets a new car or gadget Q is there to ridicule him. I also hated the fact that he recked his car so fast it didn't seem like the insanely modded cars in the pass 007 movies.
LoArmistead Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 I liked it a lot. The past two Brosnan movies have been bore-fests (I literally fell asleep during both of them), and I was looking forward to something fresh and less boring. This one kept me awake, had a semi-solid plot, and I think, per capita, this movie had a hell of a lot more action than the previous two or three. Speaking of gadgets what happened to the actor who used to play as "Q?" did he retire? Every time Bond gets a new car or gadget Q is there to ridicule him. I also hated the fact that he recked his car so fast it didn't seem like the insanely modded cars in the pass 007 movies. He died right before The World Is Not Enough was released http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desmond_Llewelyn And now that you mention it, I was looking forward to seeing R (John Cleese) make an appearance in this one...but he never did :\
Andrewr05 Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 So this one is technically a prequel to the other movies right?
