Chieftec Matrix Mx-01 Review

Case review for Case Arts Painted Chieftec MX-01 Matrix case.

Just got the case today. I have been eagerly awaiting this beauty from Directron. Can't call it a little beauty though, its 35lbs of case.

Lets see, were do we start? Right from the beginning, were else? UPS man just grunted this baby up to the door. Box is still intact, a little crumpled, but what do you expect from UPS Ground? It's been riding in the back of a truck for a week. Lets get out the ol' screwdriver and cut the shipping tape. For those of you not experienced in shipping, please, use a box cutter on its shortest setting. Cutting too deep can, in some cases, be dangerous to the product.

Hmm... The UPS man delivered it to me upside down. Looking at the feet. Oh well. :D The packing looks solid, and thick form fitted polystyrene to hold it in place. I give a plus to Case Arts on that. Removing the base block of polystyrene I see the case is big. It is also wrapped in plastic, another plus to Case Arts on that, the plastic keeps the paint from being scratched.

Removing the case, wasn't too difficult, just need a good grip, as there is not much to hold onto it on the front. Perhaps for them, who find it difficult, get a strong friend to hoist it up so you can tug off the lighter box. :D

Setting the case out its gorgeous, I got the green marble one. You can look at it here: http://www.directron.com/greencasearts html.

The pictures don't do it justice it looks better in person. I don't see any flaws in the paint anywhere under the current lighting. Nice Swiss cheese like front bezel, hence the name
