Laptop vs Notebook

Personally, I used to refer to it as a lappy, but after spending time abroad, I'm used to calling it a notebook now. If you don't call it a laptop or notebook, chooose other and state how you refer to it.

I just call them laptops and have nevr really called the notebooks...

Where the hell did notebook come from? I hadn't heard of it until I saw it on a Circuit City commercial last year. Granted, if you actually put a laptop on your lap it will burn your pants off... but it's still a laptop dangit!

Laptop for me

 

i've heard of people calling it notebook, but for me, the only notebooks i use are the ones made out of paper & held together with a metal spiral ;)

in my world notebook is a a series of blank papers together with a front and back cover to form something u can write in.

Notebook Computers???

 

I remember people coming to me and saying "Whats the difference between a laptop and a notebook computer??"

 

Me: "They're the SAME thing, they just called them notebook because accidents happen while people use "laptops" on their laps"

I call it a laptop. I never really caught on to the notebook thing. The word laptop works fine for me.
