i_lag Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 link: http://www.steampowered.com/stats/csmarket/algorithm.html so basicly the price of the wepon will be dictated by the over all demand of that wepon, thus the higher the demand, the higher the price. Please, share your thoughts.

Vasto Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 That's stupid. The M4 and AK-47 are gonna be to expensive to play with. And how can someone explain the bullpup costing less than an M4. sdy284 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 so is the autosnipe going to be cheaper now since not many people use it?
SMeeD Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 (edited) Like said before, the AWP AK/M4 are going to go way up! This sucks, I hope there is a limit as to how high prices can go. I wonder if this is going to effect how much money you start out with on most servers. If the M4/AK gets too expensive, maybe my deagle only sprees for the last few days wil actually pay off. Edit* Here are the estimated prices as of right now. http://www.steampowered.com/stats/csmarket/ I guess the AWP price is going down, I wonder if this will effect how many people will use it. Look at the deagle, the price is almost double! Edited September 23, 2006 by BlitzBomb
sdy284 Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I guess the AWP price is going down, it went down my $
Kamikaze_Badger Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 I really hope that they make this a server side variable. The deagle is almost 50% costlier, and as competitive gameplay goes on this season, we're going to see a lot more of it. But it'll be good for some pubs I guess... doesn't seem to be a major difference for the most part, only on the Deagle.* *Which means that the pistol round is now screwed... yea, thanks. Guest Flashstar Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 This is perhaps a very good thing for Valve to do. Doing this will cause weapons to cost the correct amount, thus ensuring even game play.
SMeeD Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 it went down my $6 I didnt even bother to look at the numbers I didnt even think about competitions... From my experience whoever wins the pistol round has a big upper hand, the loosers are going to be pulling a lot of eco rounds when the price of popular weapons get high. For those complaining that the price of the M4 and AWP will skyrocket obviously don't understand how Supply and Demand works.

OptikaliLLusion Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 It's a silly update if you ask me, but meh. It'll be refreshing. And to that dude saying "ATTN all blue light shoppers"...
