The link to the rules page on the forums doesn't work...granted not many people look at it (obviously) but still, would be nice if it worked. Probably has something to do with the HD crash.

 

One more thing, why would this thread get locked? Granted it's full of pointless stuff, but I'm pretty sure that's what the Alley is for. Nothing in the thread breaks any of the forum rules (granted I can't actually read them, but I think that is a fair assumption) and it seems to have been locked just because it was pointless....now I know that the rest of the forums are for useful information, but if a thread like this is made for pointless stuff to be shared in a part of the forums where pointless stuff is shared, why would it be locked?

My presumption is that thread started to go downhill quite badly, so it was locked for fear of flaming. That's how flaming usually starts, people get bored and take cheap stabs at each other. I've seen it happen a bit at OCC and now the mods are more aggressive towards it.

Well I think it was closed because of like said before because there was a lot of joking and seemed like the topic was going towards flamming and seemed not to be going anyware.

 

This topic could be closed too because your not suppose start a new topic asking why another one was closed. (I belive from reading the rules correct me if I am wrong though)

You're right on that part, but he also asked about the screwed up rules link. So Until that issue is resolved it's still a useful post.

That's the reason why I didn't close this a couple hours back.

 

I've brought the rules link to the attention of those who can do something about it. There are just a lot of things that need to be taken care of as a combination of both the crash and just tying up loose ends.

I didn't really care about that thread being locked, it was just what brought the rules thing to my attention. Seems to be used quite a bit (not so much anymore) when new people join
