Win 98 via chipset with geforce3 ti200

I'm am running the latest drivers/bios updates for my cards, i have a msi motherboard, and i am using the VIA 4in1 latest drivers. I get very slow D3D performance (i have the latest directx). Only runs around 19fps. I've seen on the net many people having problems with geforce cards and via amd based chipsets, but i've found no solution. Only to update my drivers which i did. This and nothing else has helped. I also have a similar problem on another msi via based motherbord running a geforce 2 gts DDR. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

don't think so

have u installed the agp 4x driver (should have come with your mobo)?

are you really in d3d mode? some software/driver combinations make the game render in software mode (thats when your cpu renders the scene - bad! software != d3d)

yey! a subject I feel experienced in.... well you see

I spent over a month on viarena's forums dealing w/

my mobo's problems and researching everyday why I was

getting game crashes and experimented w/ different sets of

drivers and bios values... in the end I found out it was

a PCI issue but it seemed to be delayed when I messed w/

stuff like new drivers and I dono if the new PCI

latency patch helped or not... probly gave me better FPS...

but anyway if you have a PCI card, try your last slot in your

Mobo... if its AGP then PM me and Ill give you some

resources or additional advice...
