Vic Mackey Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 (edited) Well I have some questions about getting an LCD widescreen monitor. First, anyone know if an EVGA 7800GT is capable of widescreen resolutions (1680x1050)? I tried looking up the info on my properties screen but that res wasnt listed (tho maybe its because im using a 4:3 monitor right now). Second, is about games. How do I get games to run in that res?? Im also worried about poor performance by running a weird res. Anyone have this happen? And what about dead pixels? I dont wanna pay money and get screwed by dead pixels. Lastly, what are the best makers of LCD's? Edited August 16, 2006 by Vic Mackey
LivingGhost Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Dell make great ones for the price. Samsung are also great. It really depends... Anyway, you should be fine. I can max out pretty much every game and still get around 60fps at 1920*1200 with my specs below.
