i talked to dr_frank, about it he said that, you cant turn off the second core, BUT you can make it so that the game plays on only 1 core through a program, or task manager :)

as dice said you dont turn off the second core you just change the affinity for that game or process or whatever otherwise it will try to balance the load of the game over the two cores witch causes the slow downs and speed ups

so just uncheck one of them and your game will run faster? or check both. cause on mine i have checked both.
