Tell me what you think about ccfl's in the pc and their inverters. Are they safe to use?

I've had 1 tube explode, but that's partly why they are in plastic cases. Don't take the case off and they are perfectly safe.

As far as inverters go, so long as they get the right voltage in and you don't overload it all should be good. Don't let them get too hot though.

I've had my cathodes in for over a month, they still work fine, only thing I do is turn them off at night so I'm able to sleep. For the most part, they're pretty safe, just make sure the inverter gets a cool spot in the case, the flat area next to the PCI/AGP cards is an ideal spot.
