Ghost2520 Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 I wanted to add another 40 gig harddrive, but wanted to know exactly what I have to do. Is there just a cable that I need to install that would hook both drives up?
cptkook Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 Set the jumper on the drive to slave, and connect it to the slave connector on your primary eide cable. As long as your bios is set to auto detect it should find your second hard drive. Once you've booted into windows, you can format the slave drive and start storing data. hope this helps you out.... justinal Posted March 9, 2003 Posted March 9, 2003 just like cpt said its easy the thing to remember is to set the jumper on the back of the drive or it will screw things up.
Dave_189 Posted March 10, 2003 Posted March 10, 2003 Dude you gotta check your hard disk for the correct jumper settings by either setting the jumper setting on slave...Then re-boot and it should start up with the hard drive detected.
