rpgaction Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 (edited) Small | Large After an hour of hunting for it (no wonder I couldn't find it), I've located the segment of the motherboard necessary for modifying the vcore settings. If you're still having trouble, tilt the image on its right side (90 degrees CW) and look at the part of the motherboard on the far right side, to the right of the right side of the black plastic border surrounding the CPU socket, about in the middle. Apparently, this needs to be removed.... I'm extremely paranoid, and don't want to break anything, so has anybody ever removed it before? I don't see any screw holes, I'm assuming that somehow the white circles need to be popped out, but should they easily go back in? In short, I could probably figure out how to get it off, but what is worrying me - will it go back on in a snap? Is it meant to be removable? Nerm Posted December 30, 2005 Posted December 30, 2005 The stock retention bracket is screwed on. If you pop those little white pieces off you will find four screws (one under each white piece). Do not worry you would almost have to intend to break something just removing the retention bracket because it is very easy and simple. Puting it back on is just as simple. Line the backplate screw holes up with the retention bracket on the front's screw holes and screw it back in.
