gokusgrill Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Is there a way i can set this up. game sounds coming out of my speakers; voip coming from my headphones. the voip is built into battlefield but i wanted to have it where i hear my team mates in my headphones and i hear the battle around me. this would make it sound so much more realistic. SMeeD Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I dont think you could unless you had some special software or drivers that could split the sound.

bishop245 Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 if you have a set of usb head fones you can set the mic to work off them in the sound controls of windows but not the headfones and speakers for different things
ady1989 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 sounds like a nice thing to have, but it isnt possible in bf2
Bleeble Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 sounds like a nice thing to have, but it isnt possible in bf2 606776[/snapback] Not if you use the in-game chat functionality. What about all the old games people used to played that "required" verbal communication and didn't have it built-in? People used third-party programs running in the background for the voice chat. Give that a try.
lt_navvara Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 dice could do that but lets face it most users wouldn't require such a setup so it doesn't make much sense for them to do it what you could have is a piece of hardware that removes the background sound, i have a digital tape recorder that can do this (actually my dad has one) you could do the following: split your sound card's output in 2 (this is a matter of wiring): have one line go into such a device that is set on remove background noise (it will filter everything but voice) then have the recorder's output go into your headphones have the other line go into another such device set to remove voice and take it's output into your speekers. of course sound quality will suffer a a result but not too much (at least when compared to winamp's "stupid voice removal" plugin)
