Nerm Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 There should be a button on your keyboard that says "Print Scrn" That is the button to take a snapshot of your desktop and then use whatever imaging software you want and paste it into it and save it. Then for adding it to a forum post you just use the "file attachment" at the bottom of the post page. Click "browse" and find the pic of your desktop and then click "add this attachment". martymcfly Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Asked a thousand times? I think you are the first I have seen... In any case, it is one of those valuable things to know. Also, to copy the image of just a single window, press alt+print screen.

Not usually a dedicated thread though...usually happens that someone says "take a screenshot of the problem so we can see it" and then they're like "uh, how do I take a screenshot?" To add to what Nerm and marty said, after doing either method, you then open MSPaint or Photoshop (or other graphics program), paste it, and save it as a jpeg.
