Encrypted_God Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Ok...I have had this problem before and posted the issue here. Well it happened again . Now I am FUDGING pissed. What is going on here. Man Creative is really, really getting on my nerves. Ya think I woulda learned from my past xperience with the last card I bought from them!? So please, can someone tell me what & where I should start to get this problem resolved without having to do what I did before???!! :angry2: :angry2: :angry2:
IUMaestro Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Creative is exactly this: a good sound card maker, their engineers have it together alright.. they contract amish grandmothers to write drivers, software their support department is the second job of the bush administration. Too bad there are no 3rd party drivers and software suites out there for the XFi that I know of.. I had endless troubles with their cards on a driver end.. using kX's drivers, AND Youp-PAX's drivers fixed everything... i honestly don't know what to tell you except trying a fresh install of Windows. I am in total agreement with all of what you said. This thread may turn into a Creative BASH! thread. I am so serious. Not only there drivers sucks up my resources but fails to top it all off. Man...Hey...Does anybody want to buy a soundcard??? I am not even kidding here. shi8t, I will pay the shipping!! I don't care. Just take this GOD (sensored) thing off my hands. It's been nothing but a fudging headache since the day I installed it. But ya know what? Ur prolly reading this and asking; "Well why did ya get it from the start?" My answer is this, Because I always give people and/or things a second chance. GRRRRRRRRRR....My temper is just flaring right now!! when I look over at that Card inside the case, I could just reach in there right now and YANK THAT FUDGING THING OUTTA THERE AND SMASH IT!!!!. Then send it back to them with a "Thank you" note on it. **EDIT** Ok, I got that "Nice Card" out. Uninstalled ALL of the drivers. Even went into the Registry and cleaned there too. So now my question is this; Do I go here To install the Audio. Or what. <_< Edited December 25, 2005 by Psycho_Active
Kamikaze_Badger Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Do you want audio drivers?
Encrypted_God Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 (edited) Yea...What I did was installed the Audio drivers that came with the nForce Platform. Not to sure about that driver (Image that I posted) though. So your Ideas Kami? I sure could use them, please. **EDIT** OHH I see..ok sorry. I didn't click on that image. It looked like the one I had posted..OK so should I download that one then? Edited December 25, 2005 by Psycho_Active

Encrypted_God Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 (edited) LMAO!! Bob the bean.... Hey, Just thought of something. I could put the card back in but just install the drivers only and not all the other BS that comes with it. Because basically that's the only thing that was giving me the problem. It wasn't a hardware problem. Just the software. Also, Can I use the nVMixer with the Creative Card? **EDIT** I reinstalled the card with using the minimal installation (Just the drivers)And Nope..couldn't use the nVMixer. No the nvmixer will not work with Creative.
swifty11212 Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 you can have both sound cards installed at the same time, i bet its something your doing wrong thats the cause of the problem.
Encrypted_God Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Honestly, I have done nothing thatwould make this do this twice. Gremlin--->. Hmm Why are you installing Nvidia stuff with Creatinve?? and blaming it on Creative?? No the nvmixer will not work with Creative. I didn't install anything ON top of Creative. Nor would, Did, have in the past. I think I am smart enough to know that if I were to do that there may be a conflict. That question I had asked was when I am done with uninstalling all of creative stuff, then could I install the nVMixer. Furthemore, I have to admit..I was in a Fury last night and wasn't thinking clearly... So here's where things are at..I put that Card back iIn, installed JUST the drivers, no "Bells & Whistles". Seems to be working "OK" (Knocking on wood)

Great!..maybe you can help me then...pleeeeease...As I stated, I removed everything and started over. Now, I have just the Minimal installation installed (The Drivers)...I am gun shy now as I don't want to install anything more because I am tired of this happening. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
