New Memory

I have about 200 to spend on a gig of memory, I want the best stuff possible for that price. It's for an Amd 64 system.

 

is 200 to much for a gig of ram ??

Any Idea's ??

IMO G.skill is your best bet, might want a couple more opinions tho

I had a half gig of G.SKILL TCCD, and the stuff soared. My vote goes to them . Keep in mind that I havn't done much with other RAM.

no its right on the mark cause the G.skill is TCCD, if it wasnt you could get 2x1gig from g.skill like i did (not tccd)

I'd go with the OCZ, I use to be very partial to mushkin but the ticked me off so I went to OCZ.

all the brands you listed is very good..just see which one has better CAS

Ive got to say I'm somewhat partial to G.Skill...my new 1GB x 2 set does 2.5-3-3-7@240 and 2.7V it's rated for 2-3-2-5@200. and well i paid under $200 for it so in my opinion over $150 for 1GB pf ram is pricey, but your system wouldnt really use 2GB...

 

As for looking based on CAS alone...I think you're smart enough to know that's a stupid move...
