The Chronicles Of Narnia

The classic tales of C.S. Lewis are finaly comming to the big screen, this movie although a remake has totaly just demolished the british version... The lion, the witch and the wardrobe is actully C.S. Lewis' second book. This however is the first in the story's timeline which is why Disney made it first. I was very impressed with it, growing up reading the storys and even watching the british movies. Disney did very well in bring what I imagined Narnia to be. They took the book word for word in my mind, there is however a part in the first scene where the germans are attackijng london which was not in the book, I think the addition of this scene though helped the people who have not read the books understand why the main characters in the story were sent away.

The movie is just amazing to watch, disney did a great job in brining the world of Narnia to life, I actully teared up in the begining of the movie. My Great Aunt was the one who gave me the entire collection of books, which I still have today, she was like a grandmother to me as I lost my grandmother at a very early age.

The story has alot of roots in Christanity. Which those of some very strong roots are trying to take advatage of. Hardcore Christans around the country are trying to force the word that this the bible rather then letting people enjoy the words of Lewis for themselfs, to admire the world that he created. C.S. Lewis was a Christan and he did write the books with referances from the bible, one of which a referance to the resurection of Jesus Christ in the form of a lion. Reguardless of the religon behind it, it is still a very good story, reguardless of your belifes you should still go see a timeless masterpeice.

The movie was really acurate, I laughed when Lucy opened the wardrobe and the Moth balls fell out.. Its one of the most remeberable times I had with my aunt as I did not know what moth balls were at the time..

Anyways I highly recomend the movie to any fantasy fans, or to everyone in general. I saw some people at the theater tonight I would of frankly never expected seeing them see that movie lol..

I myself cannot wait to see the second book(or first depending on how you look at it) brought to the big screen. :)

*/rant/* Oh my Goodness!! There is insinuation of religion in that movie?! It should be banned immediately!!!11!

I want to see that movie really badly. I've read reviews where they said it was really good. Perhaps this weekend I will get around to seeing it. I read the Chronicles of Narnia when I was young and I absolutely loved them. I hope I don't have any of those depressing childhood flashbacks in the process

I don't remember the story at all. I'm pretty sure I read The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, but it was so long ago.

I didn't know that Narnia was just going to cover that one book. I thought the movie would actually cover all seven books. It looks really good...wonder if they're actually thinking about making all seven (I dunno what the other books are about, so I couldn't really say if they're movie material).

I LOVED the books. I remember reading them quite fervently back in the 6th grade :D

I saw the movie opening night. It was absolutely amazing. The imagery was absolutely beautiful, the acting superb, and Liam Neeson as the voice of Aslan was spot on. The only thing I found disappointing was that the ending seemed to be rather rushed. They should have let it go at least 10-15 more minutes to give the ending more justice.

I can't wait for them to make the rest of the series. If it weren't for finals, I would have dug out the books from the attic and started reading them again. I guess I'll wait till winter break :(

In the books as well lol. But seriously people need to look at the story as what it is a childhood classic of epic proportions.

You are going to LOVE the ending. It was SO unexpected. After you're done, you're thinking to yourself, whose butt did Lewis pull that out of? Unexpected, tru, but great nonetheless.

As with all series, they'll only make more if they continue making lots of money for the studio. No point in dropping millions of dollars into a project that barely breaks even in box office sales.

I really enjoyed the movie, even though I have never read any of the books. Disney did a great job on everything IMO.

I did hear that depending on how well this one did, they would do the other movies. So, I don't think we'll have anything to worry about there. :)

Not going to see it out of principle....

1) Disney ('nuff said)

2) watching it will spoil the books... the trailer looks crappy

3) Why in god's name can't the make the first book first. That really gets me mad.

4) err... disney.

First whats wrong with Disney? Second Technicaly this is the first book although It was second to be written... It makes sense to put the movies out in cronological order... For those who have not read the books. and thirdly It dosent spoil the books man, I couldent belive the acuracy that they put into the movie it was amazing...

And again whats your problem with Disney?
