lilkev715 Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 If you don't need SLI and dont need the extra 4 SATA ports provided by the Silicon Image 3114 chip then save some money and get the Ultra-D instead.
LoArmistead Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 If you don't plan on going SLI, just get the Lanparty Ultra-D. Basically same board...just no SLI and $70 cheaper lol. Both boards are the same chipset, and each board will do you just as well as the other one. I say go for it! I am using an lanparty nf3 250GB in one of my rigs, and a lanparty nf4 ultra-D in another; both of them are rock solid stabe, great OCers, and just about anyone on here can vouch for their quality and customer support. Go for it.

Uber Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 i have that board and it is good, only thing i dont like about it is it is EXTREAMLY picky, you NEED pretty high end RAM in it for it to work nice, and you have to have the BIOS set just so, or it will give you BSOD's at every turn. but once i got mine setup it runs like a charm and they overclock like a dream. i woudl say buy it then in a year when you weant to upgrade, just buy another videocard and SLI them. LoArmistead Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 definitely get good hardware to go with the good board. It's a stubborn little guy, but if you treat it well, it will treat you well (with a nice OC)

tbone2sk Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 I see that you have 2 gigs of ram, if you want to overclock hardcore with a higher fsb, then I would get a dfi expert board. It has shown that it is much better when it comes to overclocking over a gig of ram.
