Kamikaze_Badger Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Well, I sort of dropped my Venice 3000+... From the golden Z, the following pins were bent: Row 1: 5, 6, 7, 8. Row 2: 5, 6, 7. So... are these pins redundant? Or will I have to get out Mr. Razorblade and start working on moving them back ?
cchalogamer Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 bend them back...

CmpFreak88 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 And if they're not what do you plan on doing? Shoving it in anyways or breaking them off? You might as well just bend them back anyways. If people will break them all off for keychains then it can't be that hard.
Cookieman123 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 some people on here really need to be more careful with their expensive hardware...
LoArmistead Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Remind me sometime and I'll tell you about my 3200 clawhammer, a piece of speaker wire, a pair of tweazers, and a magnifying glass
danyo64 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 i did something similliar, but only bent 3 pins, bending them back really isnt that hard..
Verran Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I have bent pins on a 3200 Venice before and bent them back (carefully) with a dental pick. Either that or a razor blade (for a straight edge) work well. As far as redundancy, I don't know, but either way, the pins are bent, so do the best you can and hope for the best. anthony Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 sucks when that happens especially when its 50/50 chance of IHS or pins Try to bend them back, it will takea hell long time, but it will work... also try not to bend them too much.. or else you will find yourself with a keychain
Kamikaze_Badger Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Most of them are back, with maybe about .3mm of difference on some. However, it's the ones in rows 2 and even 3 now that are a serious pain.
ccokeman Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I used a credit card on my p4 when i bent some pins. You could also try heating it up a bit with a hair drier to hopefully make it easier.
