Holocaust Resources

On Monday, my grandfather died of infections brought on by cancer. I have now become more intersted in the holocaust, which he survived. I want to find out more information about him, so I am looking for databases of information on holocaust survivors and victims. Even public records from the time would be good. I know that my grandpa lost all of his family in WWII and the holocaust. I have so far found only one somewhat interesting nugget of information, which is that he changed his name from Leopold to Yehudah sometime in his life. I also know that he was born in Vienna in 1921, lived in many places, and settled in Israel for the last 30 or 40 years. My father is currently in Israel (the funeral was this morning) and this is one of the times that I wish I knew Hebrew so I could hear stories about his life or even to watch interviews he had with the "Survivors of the Shoah" organization.

If anybody has any info on resources, feel free to let me know.

R.I.P. Yehudah Herzka
