If this happens, TimeWarner will utilize MSN rather than Google's engine as they have been doing.

TheSternMystic Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Google could never join AOL! NEVER! 591372 Yea, fer sure. AOL is too....Sucky. And Google too...amazing...There's no way that could happen. Unless it was Google assimilating AOL's resources into their own, that'd be sweet. d3bruts1d Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Google could never join AOL! NEVER! 591372 No one said that Google would join with AOL... Currently AOL search is built on Google's service, as is a large part of the advertisement system. Something like 11% of Google's revenue comes from the current partnership with AOL. TW has stated on more than one occasion that AOL is not for sale. They are looking for ways to revive AOL. Doesn’t matter if it’s a partnership with MS, Google, or someone else. cdoggown Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Im sure the fact that MS hold about 13% of AOL's shares may have something to do with it.
General912 Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Im a time warner cable customer... I use time warner for internet and cable tv. Rescently they have been hyping alot about AOL and time warner's roadrunner comming together. Which would make me cry as there is no other choice out there for cable internet. Im hoping to god that they dont force a crapy UI system into a nice connection...
d3bruts1d Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 (edited) Looks like Google has won the deal. http://www.theregister.com/2005/12/17/google_wins_aol/ http://news.com.com/AOL+to+stick+with+Goog...ml?tag=nefd.top Edited December 19, 2005 by d3bruts1d
