Occ = best place for advice, i remember taking part in the 3dmark/aqua comps and tweaking my oc'd 2500 & 9800xt to within an inch of their lives to get higher than the 9800 crowd, i didnt get the best 9800 scores but that was cool.

I don't really remember what brought me here, I think it was looking around for a cool forum where I could get some help with my computer questions and just a general hang-out when I had free time sort of place.

Here I am now, still posting after almost two years. Perhaps that means I'm addicted to OCC? :P

I actually found thise site a couple years ago searching for case mods and found the case gallery here. After roaming the case gallery and forums I finally decided to join just to post my case gallery lol in all honesty I never had any intentions of staying when I first joined haha. Then a couple guys took interest in one of my OC's (mainly hardnrg), then I got addicted to folding and well now I never left haha. :P .........I would say some of my fondest memories would be watching people working their butts off trying to match my 2500+(barton) OC, the seemingly one on one folding contest between Whitelightning and myself that was a blast, and of course the benchmark war. There are lots of others but those are the main three that stand out the most.

I have made many friends here at OCC since I joined. You know who you are so I won't name all of you and thanks for the memories. :D

I joined about a year and a half ago, and i probably should of joined before hand. I remember looking at this forum a few times about a year before that. I had it in my favs and checked the computer news and reviews and teh case gallery. But regretably i lost the url until my official join date :) Fav memory has got to be some of taz's ghetto rigs.

I joined after stumbling upon OCC when Googling a noob speaker wire question. It's ironic that the first person to reply to this thread, Dean 25, was the first person to answer my first post. :) I was brand new to computers then, (and still am probably the least knowledgeable member of OCC), but despite being in waaaaay over my head here, I loved the place. Besides being a site packed with really serious computer geeks, you guys are funny . :P:lol: . And there is a culture of friendliness and helpfulness here.

I keep coming back because of the above, but also because I want to know everything about this new world, and I've always believed in learning from the best!

I joined OCC because of the case gallery..plus I wanted to OC my 2600 thoroughbred.

I didn't get active in the politics forums till a few months ago, believe it or not  :O

591198[/snapback]

bs you followed me and my OC addiction  that's right I'm responsible for him spending long hours in the Politics & Current Events section of the forum.

Anyway, I joined bc the http://www.extremeoverclocking.com/ suck...or well they did back then...Back then it was the 1.8 celeron and my Shuttle XPC

What keeps me here? idk, it was helping people with problems and trying to learn more, but here recently I question the decision to stay with the number of stupid topics that show up everyday. It's becomming the same old questions with the same answer, [rant] if someone asks what mobo to get everyone cant type the words DFI LanParty fast enough...yet most of these people have never even tried anything else for 754/939. It just seems that people here are starting to all try and comform to the same system...granted the LanParty is great, but it's not the only good board out there...[/rant]

So anyway I'm still here bc of folding, and the rest of the members that have been here for awhile [opps more rant]and actually take time to think before posting (heck I rarely ever post a topic unless it's in the for sale section) and actually look around. Back in Feb. when i built my current LAN rig setup, i had people telling me how I should go with a $200 case when the budget i had was $60. [/rant] Again I'm here bc of the people that know how to think.
