Kamikaze_Badger Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 It's not ironic however that you're bashing nVidia for an isolated game problem .
Puck Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 It's not ironic however that you're bashing nVidia for an isolated game problem . 591875[/snapback] Pixel pipelines and performance can kind of be compared to the amd/intel mhz and performance. Sure, more will be better, but that doesnt mean that one with less will be slower - its also a matter of efficiency and how much each pipe can do. It is amazing that the x1800xt is so close in performance to the 7800gtx while having 8 whole pipes less - thats how many pipes a 9800pro has all together! Both great cards, and although the 7800gtx is a bit faster, the x1800xt series has more potential and headroom for new versions - the 7800gtx strangely reminds me of an intel "more is better" approach to new products...why add more pipes when you can make the current ones better first, THEN add the extra ones for an even greater performance boost?
