oblivescence Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 ummm.... dude, i dont want to sound mean, but figure out yourself how to get to those games. cuz even the blocked ones you can get to. and that is without hacking. or doing anything illegal, i mean if you have enough time to play games at school, i did back in high school, then you got enough time to learn something while trying to get to them. so research a little on firewalls and filters and network stuff. youd be amazed how much you can learn. and then you get to play games. cchalogamer Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 that is without hacking. or doing anything illegal 590643[/snapback] Most schools have it writen in the internet use policy that bypassing the filter is highly punishable. So yes they COULD suspend him if they felt like it and he took your advice, now I'm not saying to not take your advice....but just think before you act. oblivescence Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 i didnt realize high schools had internet usage policies, i guess it makes sense that they can punish you for bypassing filters, even if its just for games. mine never bothered me, but i never really did anytihng but download some games, and visit some forums. Encrypted_God Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 (edited) LucifersMagician...Did we not learn anything from Psychotic_God? I know it's a different situation but relevant. BTW..PM me and maybe I have something that may interest you as far as your Firewall search. *EDIT* I just don't want you to get caught up with that same mess that P_G did. Puck Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 There are MANY ways to get around it...I'll give you one ez one. Find the game you want to plays url. In this case, a cheesy side scroller mx game called "Adrenaline Challenge". Go to google and search for - inurl:"/arenalinechallenge.html" - yes, the ""s around the filename are necessary. Google will find the direct link to the game on one of the servers hosting it. Then, just click the cached version of the game location. See pic. The school proxy will notice that it is only connecting to google - not any game site - and will let the page load. Just change the "adrenalinechallenge.html" to the game location and file extention - if it was a flash game search for /omgitsnotblocked.swf to find all sites hosting the flash game "Omg its Not Blocked". Simple and effective.
