1280x1024, softshadows is off since it disables AA, my 1600x1200 crt is broken (its blurry) so im stuck @ that res, but when i crank EVERY thing up, 1024x768 plays it nice.

you can get 1280x1024? It's not selectable for me! I installed the new patch and updated my drivers. I don't understand. I'm not the only one either...I made a thread about it and others had the same problem. So yeah, I've been playing on 1024x768.

 

edit: but if i understand you right, then at 1280x1024, you don't have everying maxxed out? so you were getting the 34fps at 1024x768 with everything else maxxed?

lol correction: the 1280x1024 was supposed to be 1280x960. im so used to the higher res i play my other games at. i hit around 40ish with 1024x768, ill post some pics of f.e.a.r's benchies when i get the chance tonight. at 1280x960 everything but softshadows is maxed. ill go see if i give it a whirl with everything maxed out @ the highest res possible.
