Sound For New Rig: Audigy 2 Zs Or ?

Almost forgot about a key component of the new rig! :) Looking around at sound cards, it seems that the Audigy2 ZS OEM has great bang-for-the-buck, and is recommended by lots of folks here. Just thought I'd check and see if there's anything else in its price range I should consider. Basically $75-80 or less is my sound card budget. Anything that's priced higher than that, I can pretty much guarantee that I either won't use all the features it has, or that I won't even be able to hear the difference anyway. :) It'll just be driving a set of 4.1 Altec Lansing speakers.

Edit: Well, zzf had a rebate going on it, so for $40 after rebate, I had to pick it up. :) So kindly disregard this thread. :)

id go onboard if you just want tose speakers. i have an asus p4p800se, and i hafta say the onboard sound is excellent considering its onboard... i might get a hight end sound card soon only to go with a pair of soon to be high end headphones (maybe sens, or something) i wanna use for CS.

umm

#1, onboard does not have its own proccesing chip, just a codec, so it uses the cpu

#2, onboard=crap, Ac97 codec ust sounds extremly crappy on 5.1 speakers

#3, pretty much featureless

#4, No Eax, No 24bit,

#5, it sounds crappy

I'm sorry but the Audigy pretty much owns ALL onboard sound codecs...

Edit, Yeah the mystique is cool, but i'd still reccomend the Audigy 2 ZS. Its kinda buggy.
