Slow Cable

okay i have cable im not going to say which ISP because it seems slow a lot and if those of you with cable could post your ISP and your average kilabytes per second when downloading something :smack:

do any of you know how much you pay(for those of you who live with parents) because i have charter because we have cable from them for the tv too and im getting like 30 kbps at the most :O:(:mellow::smack:

fixed wireless:

normal: around 400-500 kbps

max seen: somewhere above 650kbps or so...

 

only complaint is when I get frequent packet drops which could be

cause of my cat5 comin up 2 my room... during really bad wheather I know

its not the cable...

Thats the US for ya, up here in Canada, bandwidth is abundant. I have Adsl which i pay about $40 a month for (LIKE $25 US) and i usually dl at 500kbs, and ive maxed out at 1.2mbs. Also i upload sometimes at like 300kbs. Which isnt fast but hey i dont run a server or nothing so i dont care.

it all depend of the server i am downloading from i can go to a max of 850kb/s but i remember once i was downloading mirc from one of the mirrors at a speed of 1.7mb/s !!!

but mostelly my average download speed is 300kb/s

i was with ATT now COMCAST and they are the seam <_<
