Sata Trouble

Recommended Posts

Really Confused :(

Ill just say what i have done and maybe someone will know what i need to do to get this working.

Well i removed a sata hard drive from another pc to back it up.

Installed the Sata Controller Card on my pc with the Sata hard drive plugged in.

Came up with some errors and wouldnt let me view, device manager, none of the administrator tools worked......

So i did a little research and found a forum and it say's to do a Windows Repair.

So i did with the Sata Still plugged in ect.......

I reboot and sure enough i can use device manager ect.........

But this bloody Sata drive still isn't appearing in device manager, computer management, or my computer.

And i need to back this thing up as its full of important data...

Any ideas of what i could try or what i have missed?

Thanks In Advance

Bitchplz :thumbs-up:

yup ok this is strange now.....

Windows media player, avg, anti spyware, paragon, office have all decided to stop working.

And my Sound Drivers have unistalled themselves.....

But the Sata Drive now works

Windows Media Player says an internal application error has occurred then sends an error report.

AVG says Installation of AVG Anti-Virus Is Damaged. Please Reinstall your AVG Anti-Virus

And the others when i start them up they just dont do anything  ]

Should i repost?

Add***** Outlook Loads after coming u with like 50 different errors about AVG

invalid license  Its a Free Version

And my CPU is running at a constant 100%

have you got any more details, like OS?

i think it might be because you installed the SATA adapter with the HDD plugged in. It would have been better to install it on its own, and then plug the HDD in.
