Overclocked (literally!)

Okay, guys, here's the deal: My wife's system continually gains time. As in an hour a day. Re-installing Windows hasn't done it, CMOS battery didn't do it, and even a motherboard swap didn't do it. WTF is going on?!

get the right timezone, i noticed that windows auto sets it to pacific time zone.

and if you get the same problem after you set the time again its b/c its auto resetting to pacific time.

thats just my guess

I tried auto-synch with the windows time server, didn't work, tried not auto-synching with the time server, still doesn't work. The system is not driving west :P

It's gaining time at a steady pace, not jumping an hour at a time. 3 hours after setting the time it'll be ahead by 10-15 minutes again.

Personally, I have that whole thing disabled. I don't like when something comes into my computer to set something (other than updates and what not) is it something that she really needs? How about a clock on the wall above her monitor? PLUS! uses resources.
