Benchmarking

UT2K3 has its own built in benchmarking utility. It uses the graphics engine in UT to benchmark your system using UT maps and battle scenes. It comes with the Demo of UT. It's the exact same benchmark whether or not you just have the demo (like me) or have the full game. It runs 2 fly-by's of 2 different maps in UT and then 2 bot matches one on each map. Then it tells you your average FPS on the fly-by's and the bot matches.

It is a totally independant stand alone benchmark from 3DMark. They're 2 different programs you don't need one to use the other.

I didn't find any way to change the test games in 3DMark03. So no you can not use the UT2003 benchmark from 3Dmark03. So being independant benchmarks the scenes will be different. If you think this is wrong, why don't you just try it and find out for yourself and let us all know.

Just download the free version of 3dmark. It will only test in 800x600 but you can just watch it for kicks. You get the same thing as the full version except you can change detail options and resolutions and stuff. Then download the demo for UT2k3 and run the built in benchmark program.

You can't use one with the other. 3dmark runs it's own scenes that they built, and UT runs its own scenes. You can't use 3dmark to benchmark UT2k3. They don't work in tandem. They are 2 entirely different programs.

You can only view 3dmark scenes with 3dmark and can only view ut2k3 scenes with ut2k3.
