Socket A Cpu Cooler For Socket 939?

Just bought a new 939 board and CPU after my Socket A Asus died. I am wondering if I will be able to use my Therman Right SLK-900(A) from my Socket A board on my new board? Any thoughts or insights?

It won't work, you can't even mod it to work. What you need is a heatsink that either screws down (Thermalright SLK-948u, Swiftech MCX6400-v, etc) or one that clips into a retention frame like all the new Thermalrigh HS do.

Generally, you can't go wrong with an XP-90/c or an XP/SI-120 and some kick-arse fan. I have an XP-90c and a 92mm 70ish cfm fan, my chip isn't even breaking a sweat at around 34c load.
