Cpu Diode Cooler Than Cpu Temp?

Recommended Posts

on my everest it's reading 40c for my cpu and 28 for my "CPU diode" which i finally figured out is inside the core?

is that normal, shouldnt the core be hotter?

btw are those good temps?

I don't think thats right... Are you sure that 28c isn't your mobo/system temp? or if your right then you've got a bad sensor

Ignore the plain CPU temp on everest. Just look at diode.

Also, "CPU diode" on everest is not the on die temp, its the heatspreader temp (tCASE), atleast with the DFI mobos I've used.

28C is quite normal for an idle venice tCASE temp.

Ok, if thats true then my diode temp is 28c? thats pretty dang cool for idle for a 3200 venice.

the "CPU" temp is 39 which sounds alot more reasonable
