hardnrg, what total cost was it for you to get that opteron, memory, and 120 heatsink? was it even CLOSE to 600? (methinks not) and its absolutely owning.

sounds like the way to go. OC the opteron and live large!

I'm very suspicious of that Crosfire DFI board. It appears to have some major problems.

be afraid of what you don't know then :( cuz it's a great board. I'm still running an older engineering sample of it in my main rig, and have now got 2 more of them coming on line for other rigs. the only warning I have to give about it, is don't waste your time with an Nvidia card in it. just like the x1800 series cards are for the crossfire boards, the 6800 and 7800 series cards do way better on the Nvidia chipsets.
Some people are like Slinkies. Totally useless, but you just can't help but laugh when you push them down the stairs.
