Home network help

Recommended Posts

I have a small problem with my home network, My computer has WINXP PRO, and the other is WINXP Home. The winxp home computer is an hp that i upgraded to xp, but xp doesn't like the modem, so i set it up so i just leave my computer on 24/7 (was doing anyway to run seti) and it could just dial up into mine, but the second it hits the winxp logon screen it is dialed up, and it doesn't always disconect when the computer is off. Is thier any software that could make it so the client computer could conect and disconect manualy  ???

:D i have 2 computers connected together through network cards and a crossover cable, i had been trying to share my internet connection for quite awhile, finally downloaded WINGATE from http://www.wingate.com works great now, and keeps my kids away from my computer.
