Guest flakman Posted March 24, 2002 Posted March 24, 2002 regarding the xover/ you have to switch 1/3 and 2/6 wires/ does not matter the scheme of the wiring. those are transmit/ receive. You cannot transmit to the transmit port on another machine. .. regarding a firewall....hardware and zonealarm is the way to go, especially if you have any win2k server on your network.
