I am into car audio and video with three major installations under my belt. My current project is my 06 Charger. Doing two sets of Alpine Type X Component sets at 125w per channel, and two of those 10w6v2 or Diamond D9 subs in the trunk powered off of a 1200w monoblock.

February starts my car PC install, which I hope to chronicle and post here. Glad to know im not alone here.

right now my current setup is that 12w6v2 powered by a rockford 851S which puts out ~500w each channel at 2 ohms...and does about ~925w bridged at 4 ohms....so i'm highly considering adding another w6 to that, wire it in series, and be booming like wow. but that won't be till later next year but it'll be quite fun.

i'll get some piccies of the setup soon probably, however it's not that exciting.

So your just running stock speaks and head unit in the rest of the car? If so why did you start with the sub as opposed to a head unit and cabin speaks? Especially a sub so loud that its most liekly going to drown out a stock set of speaks...

Yes Alpine. I have compared those to the upper teir offerings from Focal, MB Quart, JL, and Infinity and they were the second cleanest sounding 6.5" components I could find, next to diamond D9 components. The 450 dollar price difference said Alpine. Like I said a post or two ago I am looking at either 10w6v2's or Diamond D9s in the trunk, running off a 1200 watt monoblock - brand yet to be determined. The subs will happen after I am finished with the car PC, that way I wont have to take the box out to run cable.
