DimensioN Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 (edited) ASUS never fails to be one of the fastest mainboard manufacturer. This time round, ASUS leads the rest with its introduction of the first SiS 655 Dual Channel DDR Mainboard based on the new SiS 655 B0 stepping chipset. As you know, the B0 chipset enables support of the Hyperthreading feature of the P4 3.06Ghz processor. Although other manufacturers are claiming A0 does support, it is unofficial support. The board we received is the P4SDX Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe edition as its names implies supports lots of important features and they include HT support, Gigabit Ethernet, Serial ATA RAID (1 x ATA133 + 2x SATA connectors), IEEE 1394, AGP 8x. The package also comes with J-Panel, a 5.25" front panel for you to connect to 2 x USB 2.0 and the S/PDIF Out + Mic in and Line out. well looks like i've posted a review before d3 got it review sorry for the topic title.. greetz Edited February 22, 2003 by DimensioN
creager Posted February 22, 2003 Posted February 22, 2003 (edited) doesnt sound any better than my a7v8x, all though it supports 3 ghz. ill have to read that review sometime, im curious about the results. the j panel sounds like an interesting feature, my case has 2 front usb but my case is on the ground so i have to reach all the way down there to connect usb, it would be much nicer to have it under the cd-roms.
