Miichael Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 theres not that much diffrence in price between the 6800 and the 6800GT is there alot of diffrence in performance?
cchalogamer Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 My 6800 (PNY 128mb AGP) ran BF2 paried with an A64 running @2.3 on the "high" settign w/o any issues. a 256mb 6800 would prob handle some of the other stuff set at med by the high setting to high, but it wont Max the game out w/o lagging. I love my 6800, and should be getting it back from RMA in a day or so. It will mostly be playing BF2 and CS:S now, Not 7800GT qaulity by any means, but for the money it's a great card. Skoad Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) I 2nd getting a refurb x800 pro 256mb direct from ATI's website. Its only $179 plus shipping and even though its labeled 'refurbished' it has a 3 year warrenty. If they are out of stock just check back a few days later, they sell out mighty quick. Guess it depends on Other games you play and what brand that 6800 you were looking at was.
