How fast

How long does it take you guys to do a scan. I can do one in 4 hours on my 3300 6 hours on my 2600 and 9 hours on my 1800  :D

holy my dual wasnt even doing that..

 

how do you run seti? command line? any tweaks? :)

 

i was using  seti server which is a program that allows dual cpus to work..

im gonna dump that crap! i bet its slowing me down

Client Priority set to Normal

 

and cache 25 work units,

to keep working even when you can't

connect to the SETI servers

cool thats whatmy settings were but instead of 25 i had 50

 

hrmf its gonna be very interesting to see if my WU completion average drops :)

I've been droping around 3sec for each work unit

 

avg. down to -  4:21:48.2

Every yime you open SETI driver

you get a menu of options.

Set them the way you like

and hit the Save Config button

well i dont think seti driver was using both cpus :/

here is the past few days while running it on my single cpu system:

 

602 3304 hr 21 min 5 hr 29 min 20.2 sec May 28

605 3315 hr 12 min 5 hr 28 min 46.8 sec May 31

613 3340 hr 06 min 5 hr 26 min 55.6 sec Jun 2

 

as you see, my average is dropping. it wasnt drop this much when my other system was running seti driver.

 

oh well :)
