Now of course, what is smart and and unsmart is all a matter of opinion, Im still gonna ask it.

personally, some smart people (like me ) talk about movies, clothes, money, shoes, current events, school work, some trivial stuff, and making fun of others

Add tattoos to what unsmart people talk about. There are plenty of people with good meaningful tattoos but there also lots of stupid who get tattoos because they have nothing intelligent to say.

I don't think intelligence levels are always exposed by speech - I know some quite smart people, and they can talk about the dumbest stuff, as well as some "few cans short of a 6-pack" people that can carry on good conversations about politics or finance.

I would say shallow people discuss this type of thing. They aren't necessarily unintelligent, they're just shallow people.

Smart people make small talk, and ask about trivial things such as the weather.

Everyone makes small talk. It's purpose is to simply fill awkward silence when among people we have no real 'bond' with. It's also an attempt to make a connection with people without actually having to open up to them.

 

Smarter people talk about current events and Politics.

While true, fools also talk about current events and politics in order to appear intelligent. A fool tends to latch onto someone who is in this group and ride along in order to appear smart.
