Eldiabl0 Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 What is the AXP 2200 multiplier locked at? i have a couple of choices when setting the multiplier through the bios 13, 13.5, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 22, or something like that. its kinda weird cuz i thought that the AXP's are locked i read that they are not supposed to do anything even though the bios says the multiplier
justinal Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 just because you change the multplier in the bios doesnt mean it actually changes it might say it changes but it doesnt give you any more performance as for what its suppose to be set and set the defaults in the bios and that will tell you what it is. hope this helps justin
mxrider623 Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 yeah changing it in the BIOS will not do anything except mess up your system i had to reset the CMOS like 5 times
JeepNPhreek Posted February 20, 2003 Posted February 20, 2003 Well, i never unlocked my axp2100+ and i can use my multiplier in my bios? dunno y. I can use it and can tell the difference in performance. Because when i use the multiplier my temps go up a little. not a lot but just like 1 or 2 degrees.
