swifty11212 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I'd get a BFG OCed one if you can but that's just me... And BTW, yes all 6600 gts, 6800 gts, 6800 ultras, and 7 series Nvidia cards are SLI compatible. -sheep 554348[/snapback] even the dual core ones? UkJenT Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I say go wtih an eVGA 7800GT card. I bought an eVGA 7800GTX card. It's going to be sweet when I game. Plus, for my future rig w/ SLI, I'll be using two eVGA 7800GT cards, yes, I said 7800GT cards. haha.. I vote, like some have already, for an eVGA card. THey really are above good. Guest Flashstar Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I know for sure what you are looking for. I recently bought a EVGA 7800gtx because it came with BF2. After slapping on a Zalman VF700, I was able to get stable clocks of 500mhz for the core and 1.4ghz for the memory. That is a 200mhz increase in speed for the memory. slugbug3311 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Theres nothing wrong with my xfx 7800gtx. It comes with an overclock as fast as the BFG ones and I believe that XFX has a lifetime warranty now. I think it was cheaper than all of the other overclocked cards when I bought it but im not sure about that now.
swifty11212 Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 i dont belive in that lifetime warrenty bs, if it dies it dies, gets replaced unless it died on its own then i rma it. anyways ill let you guys know how my msi 7800gtx goes when i get it tomorrow, according to fedex... LiquidPCB Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 The msi ones are not bad they are cheaper and will hit 490/ 1300 no problem with the bundled overclocking software.
Miami Dave Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I got the XFX. There are many 7800GTX that they offer I got the one with the 490 overclock they also offer one with a 450 overclock. It is just as bit of good as the e-VGA but 60 dollars less.
