KanycTa Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 That IS an Overclock. Even 134 is an overclock. And that means your cpu cant go higher than 142 fsb (which is already a fair overclock) AthlonXP 2000+ is 1660=133*12.5 12.5*142=1775 (isn't that 2200+ ?) ps. almost the same for me, but i can go up to 144*12 without overvolting pps. if that is just the bios then flash the older one. Ronin Posted February 17, 2003 Posted February 17, 2003 yeah, I have a simliar board and I start to get unstable above 144. Upped my core voltage and couldnt even get 1900mhz to run :/
singhsoft Posted March 16, 2003 Posted March 16, 2003 it could be because you have not locked the pci agp bus. i am not sure if you can lock it with this board and bios!!!

DimensioN Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 it's say , really sad.. i thought GIGABYTE where OC friendly( and very muc) , but it looks like they aren't as much a people say they are.
Zurke Posted March 19, 2003 Posted March 19, 2003 (edited) It was ocing fine before you updated BIOS? I have the ULTRA with a 2100. My multiplier is locked at 13 on the chip so bringing up my FSB would be still multiplied by 13. You may have to unlock the chip if it is not already and take the multiplier down as you raise your FSB. Molson Ice Posted March 27, 2003 Posted March 27, 2003 I have a GA-7VAX with a 2700+ oc @ 2301. fsb @177. I have not updated the bios at all and every couple of days or so, the cmos resets itself to the original 166. I was told by other members to try replacing the cmos battery. I have not gotten around to it yet but kinda wierd we sorta have the same problem/ and board.
