Byron Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I'm 18 and still in HS, so i work about 25-30hrs/week during the school week @ target, and 40 during breaks. I'm making 7.95/hr after being there for a few months over a year, so its pretty nice for my age. edit after seeing bionics depth. I started out @ 6.75 doing "sales floor" which is basically cleaning up the shelves at night or setting new stuff during the days. After 3 months i got the regular .25c raise bringing me to 7.00/hr, then after a year of working my butt off, got lots of recognition etc so when I had my 1yr review, i got a .45c raise instead of the usual .25c. Then in the past 3 or 4 weeks I was asked to move to the backroom, and about a week ago I got a .50c raise for doing so. I plan on staying with them for a bit cause they are good with giving my the hrs I want and I get to use a lot of fun machinary in the back ;-) This summer though, i'm probaly going to move to planogram which will give me another .50c raise and also get atleast .25c more for my 2 year review. Planogram comes in @ 4.00a.m goes till 12:30p.m and we set new aisles in the store. Anothe thing I do is usually 2 days out of the month I go out with my step-dad and we setup about 36 feet of national hardware. We usually would head out at like 6a.m and come back at like 10p.m, so its a long day, but its not so bad because just recently National changed their policy so he can pay up to $100 per day of work for whoever he bring a long, so I usually make ~200/month from that. BrewMeister2010 Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I am a technician at Action Pest. It's the most fun job I've ever had. Learn something new every day. Before that: Subway Fedex Rent-A-Flick UPS Mills Decorating Center (my dad's business) Believe it or not, out of all of these except my current, Subway paid the most @ $12 an hour.
