NCC10281982B Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I've been working on my resume. Trying to come up with as much computer related stuff as possible. I was discussing it with my dad and he thought mentioning my participation in F@H as a hobby or interest. The thought it might also work as a community service. When describing it I think that discussing running a mixed windows and Linux network as well as a personal web server could help strengthen the idea. Any thoughts? O(V)eGA_l2el) Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 A few points when building your resume is to not fill it wil a lot of information---accomplishments are the best listings to have. For example, Volunterring for major organizations such as Red Cross, Fire Depts for "X" number of years. I highly recommend you have a custom resume for each position you are applying for. For example, if the job descripiton is asking for a certain level of education foremost, try to have your degrees, certifications, etc listed at the top of your first page. If the job asks for skills--list your skills and knowledge at the top of first page and so on.
