exeter_acres Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 I'm not going to get involved in the ATi v nVidia thing... it can't be won.. just like the AMD v Intel battle, or the blonde v brunette....well that one is easy! 3dMark is a great tool but use several more to get a true pic of your PC and what it can do.. PCMark, AIda, SiSoft, etc. etc.. Scores are important. (I only have a All in Wonder 7500 and barely broke 300! ) but bottom line is it plays games just fine for me.. I am watching some TV in the background and it does what I need.... Use scores as a place to start. Two chips with the same specs will have different results just happens.. Now.. I am sure there are several things that can be done.. 3DMark03 really only works on the newest cards out there.. so I wouldn't worry much.. Ghost2520 Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 Hmmm... I guess I will get some more system testers such as teh ones said a couple of posts ago. Can you guys post links to their websites?? Also the GeForce 4 Ti4200 I got used from a friend after he got the new Radeon 9700 Pro. Is there a possibility that my chip is "worn down" because he had overclocked it quite a bit.
