YODA74 Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 I would say try Partition magic it has the ability of the program to move entire partitions from one partition to another or move windows programs from one location to another. I have not been very successful in trying to move windows programs. Even using the move programs it seems that there are always pointers that don't get changed and you still have nagging little problems when you try this. If you want to move a windows program from one partition or directory to another, I would suggest backing up the data files, removing the program totally using either the programs uninstall program or an uninstall program, then reinstall the program and reloading the backed up data files. I have found the procedure to take less time in the long run than trying to move the program using the move programs. I have used a number of different programs to try this and haven't been happy with any.
d3bruts1d Posted February 11, 2003 Posted February 11, 2003 I'd agree with yoda. With windows based applications being so heavily entrenched in the Windows registry, your better off just reinstalling the progie.
