The Matrix Online Must Really Suck

I played Matrix Online (MxO) during the beta. The first couple of days I was there, I thought the game was amazing. Less than a week into it, I got tried of it. I'd drop in and check in on the game from time to time, but it didn't ever change much.

Unfortunately, I'm still on the MxO mailing list. I just happened to glance at the email today, and noticed that they plan to combine their 9 servers into 3.

Enumerator, Heuristic, Input --> Hostile World

Method, Regression, Iterator --> Normal World

Proxy, Linenoise, Output --> Normal World

Not even enough people playing MxO to keep more than 3 servers running. I wonder how long it'll stay plugged in.

it sucks so much, that trying to get the beta to work was nigh on impossible for me. other mmorpg's are fine...just...not this one...

appeared to have a lot of potential, but doesn't seem to be that popular!

I've never even played it and I think a kungfu type MMO is a stupid idea. The trailers looked rather cheesy. :( Everything since The Matrix has totally sucked! I wish they'd just end everything to stop giving it such a bad rep.

that sucks, must feel like nothing next to the massive amount of servers WOW has, or even any other MMORPG. I would say going from only 9 servers to 3 has to be a sign of a failing game.

Well I was a beta, things were pretty much good (bare in mind, it's my first mmorpg)

On release (which was a while before scheduled) things started to go down.

Lag, bugs, and a lot of stuff you expect to see on a game released months before planned. Not to mention the high system requirements (heard about a memory leak in the code) ...whatever you needed at least 1Gb of ram and a [email protected] or 3000+.

However things remained the same after months, so when my free trial (with the game you get 30 free days) expired I left.

Well, monolith now sold the game to Sony, so I expect to see vast improvements. Already players at the public forum comment on the game, giving it a hands on/hands off 50/50 respectively. After I get my new rig I'll sign in for another month and see how it goes :)

But the truth be told: it has lots of potential
